Shoulder Arthroscopy
Shoulder arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a small camera (arthroscope) and specialized instruments inserted through tiny incisions to diagnose and treat a variety of shoulder conditions. Common problems treated include rotator cuff tears, labral injuries, shoulder instability, and impingement. Because this technique avoids large incisions, it typically results in less pain, less soft tissue damage, and a faster recovery compared to traditional open surgery.
Most procedures are performed on an outpatient basis. Shoulder arthroscopy may benefit patients who have not improved with rest, physical therapy, or other non-surgical treatments.
