Dr. Raj Yalamanchili is a double board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with advanced fellowship training in sports medicine, shoulder replacement, and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee. He specializes in treating athletes and active individuals who want to return safely and confidently to the activities they enjoy.<\/p>

A proud Texas native, Dr. Yalamanchili grew up in Plano, where he graduated from Plano Senior High School in 2007. Much of his childhood was spent playing sports across the Plano area, including baseball, which sparked an early interest in athletics and injury recovery. Those experiences helped shape his understanding of what it means for athletes and active individuals to be sidelined by injury. After training and practicing across the country, he is grateful to return home to care for the same community that helped shape him.<\/p>

Dr. Yalamanchili attended the University of Southern California (USC) as part of the selective 8-year Baccalaureate\/MD program, where he earned his undergraduate degree in 2011 before graduating with Distinction in Research from the Keck School of Medicine of USC in 2015. He went on to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency at the renowned Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles in 2020, where he received comprehensive training in complex orthopaedic care and advanced surgical techniques.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

To further specialize in the treatment of athletes, Dr. Yalamanchili completed a prestigious sports medicine fellowship at the Kerlan-Jobe Institute, one of the world\u2019s leading centers for sports medicine and orthopaedic research. During his fellowship, he served as assistant team physician for several professional sports organizations, including the Los Angeles Rams (NFL), Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB), Los Angeles Sparks (WNBA), and LA Galaxy (MLS). Working alongside some of the world\u2019s top sports medicine surgeons, he gained extensive experience caring for elite athletes and managing complex sports injuries at the highest level of competition.<\/p>

Following fellowship, Dr. Yalamanchili joined the faculty at Loma Linda University as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery. In this role, he was actively involved in teaching and mentoring orthopaedic surgery residents while continuing his academic work in sports medicine. He has published peer-reviewed research and delivered academic lectures on sports medicine and arthroscopic surgical techniques, contributing to the advancement of orthopaedic knowledge and education.<\/p>

During his time at Loma Linda University, Dr. Yalamanchili also served as Medical Director at SAC Health System, a nonprofit community healthcare clinic helping to expand access to orthopaedic care in underserved communities. He additionally served as head team physician for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, the Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he cared for professional baseball players.<\/p>

Dr. Yalamanchili is an active member of several leading orthopaedic professional societies, including the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). Through these organizations, he stays closely connected to the latest advances in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dr. Yalamanchili combines the experience gained from treating professional athletes with a personalized, patient-centered approach. His goal is always the same: to help patients recover safely, restore function, and return to the activities that are important to them. Dr. Yalamanchili is supported by a dedicated team, including his medical assistant, surgery scheduler, and physician assistant, Brenna Warren, PA-C, who work together to ensure patients receive attentive, coordinated care throughout their treatment.<\/p>

Today, he continues to remain closely involved in the sports community. He serves as head team physician for the Dallas Reds Rugby Football Club, a professional rugby organization based in North Texas that competes at the national level. In this role, he helps care for players and manage sports-related injuries throughout their season.<\/p>

He also works closely with athletes at the Adaptive Training Foundation (ATF) in Dallas. ATF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping combat veterans and individuals with physical disabilities rediscover strength and purpose through adaptive fitness and athletic training. The program helps participants rebuild physical capability and confidence through structured training and community support.<\/p>

Outside of medicine, Dr. Yalamanchili enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, staying active, and spending time outdoors with his family.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
